Tax plays an important part of trade, economic growth and development of the country's economy. Large or small businesses have a vital role to play as taxpayers but also as employers.

The Economic & Finance Portfolio Committee will be hosting Lindsay Coetzee, a SARS Educator at the Taxpayer Engagement – Education Division. The objective of the meeting is to discuss and engage with business on tax-related matters and provide assistance, where applicable.

The meeting will also discuss and present the following matters:

• Clarifying Tax Responsibilities of Business Owners;
• Efiling for organisations (covering mostly the new changes)
• Business Tax Compliance;
• Tax Incentives & Covid Relief for Business;
• Taxes applicable to Small & General Businesses; and
• Tax assistance offered to Business
