Event Details

The Economic & Finance Portfolio Committee is honoured to host the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) at National Treasury.

The meeting welcomes business that is about to tender for a contract, is a supplier of goods and services or require information on supply chain management with Government. The aim of the meeting is to educate, provide knowledge and insight and address any business queries from the private sector. The Office is not directly involved in procurement, but manages procurement reforms, maintains the procurement system and oversees the way in which government does business with the private sector.

The following matters will be addressed:

  • The mandate of the OCPO;
  • The National Public Procurement System;
  • A breakdown on the public procurement spend and it's impact on the economy; and
  • What business should know when procuring to Government

We welcome your input and engagement at the meeting.
