Event Details

The Mitchells Plain/Khayelitsha Chapter in partnership with the City of Cape Town, the Western Cape Government, and the South African Police Services will be hosting a Safety and Security Roadshow on Business Extortion to discuss concerning issues with the business community and stakeholders.

Our businesses are exposed to crime daily and these hideous acts undermine profitability, investment, growth, and jobs.

Is there something business can do in partnership with the authorities?

The Panel:

  1. John Lawson, CEO of the Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry
  2. Reagon Allen, Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety: Western Cape Government
  3. Alderman JP Smith, Mayoral Committee Member: Safety & Security: City of Cape Town
  4. SAPS Representative, South African Police Service
  5. Petrus Robberts, Director: Operational Coordination-Safety & Security: City of Cape Town

Please join us to communicate our situation/reality to the leaders of our safety and security services and hear what their plans are to deal with such.
