This session will explain the importance of choosing an appropriate legal entity for your business as well as an explanation of the different entities available. The various factors that could influence your choice will also be discussed.

Speaker profile:

Nicolette Smit is an Executive at ENSafrica in the Tax department. She specialises in corporate tax, with particular focus on international tax with regards to inbound and outbound investments, local and international corporate restructures and exchange controls.

Her experience includes work in retail and e-commerce. She also advises extensively on the South African tax and exchange control implications for local corporates with respect to their offshore expansions and for non-resident corporates with respect to their investments in South Africa. She has advised extensively on various exchange control related matters, including the preparation of applications.
