The Cape Coast Chapter invites you to participate in an Energy Dialogue with a focus on the impact that load shedding is having on the South African economy. The Cape Chamber members are extremely concerned about the risk load shedding is having on a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, tourism, and agriculture.

The Energy Dialogue seeks to provide a platform for businesses and experts to engage around the energy crisis and to find common ground in working towards a solution.

Guest Speaker Profile: Alwie Lester

Mr. Alwie Lester is currently Premier Alan Winde's Special Advisor on Energy. Before joining the Western Cape Government in January 2023, he was employed at Eskom for over 20 years, where he worked in various portfolios, including Distribution, Transmission as well as Information and Strategy Management. For the past 15 years, he was General Manager for Eskom in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, and Free State.
