He started at Old Mutual Retail Mass Market in 2017 and joined OM Personal Financial Advice in 2020 and achieved top Academy Financial Adviser award in 2021. 

In 2024 he completed studies at Milpark Education and took on the role of Development Coach. The 7 years at Old Mutual has taught Shaun valuable life and career lessons to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families especially Entrepreneurs, NPO and Government leaders.

Siphiwo Mbande, Enterprise Direct Manager. Currently working for the Standard Bank Group, leading a team of business bankers that assist clients in the space of R0 to R10m turnover. Have experience in the both the personal and business banking space.

René Botha is passionate about financing SME’s and to see businesses
grow and succeed. She believes that entrepreneurs are the wealth
creators of South Africa through job and skill creation and her goal are
to share knowledge and expertise to enable entrepreneurs to develop
further. Over the years at Business Partners she has financed many different
businesses in many different industries from manufacturing, services,
hospitality, retail, tourism, education and property. She is well
experienced in compiling a well-analysed, comprehensive, and fully
motivated feasibility study of businesses which applies for finance. René is part of the management of the business and is instrumental
in the training program for new employees. She is also a key
representative for the business as a media spokespersons. René coordinated a national Tourism Relief Programme for the
business and was instrumental in the funding process that offered
relief to this sector, and is currently also managing the Energy Fund
for SMEs which provides finance to business owners who want to buy
solar systems, battery systems, generators, inverter systems, wind
generators and related products. One of her proudest moments was receiving an award for SA’s Most
Influential Women in Business in the Financial Services Sector in 2011.

Calvyn brings extensive experience in corporate sales and business development to his current roles as Business Development Lead at Cloudworx and as a key member of the Investmint team. At Cloudworx, he is responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective clients, offering strategic guidance, and ensuring that their journey with the firm is seamless. At Investmint, Calvyn leverages his expertise to speak with clients, guide them through the funding process, and ensure that projects are funded in record time. His passion for supporting SMEs stems from his previous role, where he witnessed the challenges many small businesses face due to a lack of funding. This experience motivated him to join Investmint and actively contribute to making a difference in the growth of these businesses.

The role aims to drive and grow our Alternative Lending Products and Enterprise Development Solutions for our SME customers in support of Absa’s regional lending and customer growth ambition. Part of her main responsibilities is ensuring that there is a full understanding of the Alternative Lending Solutions (ALS) and ED Strategy and how to help entrepreneurs access these solutions within the Absa group. This is an important step to bringing back the SME focus and drive financial inclusion. Mona-Lisa has over 10 years of banking experience ranging from Retail, Private Banking, and Business Banking through various banking institutions. She has spent the last 5 years in a Commercial Credit Analyst role within Peninsula and Claremont Business Areas.
