This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to be able to use and operate a PC and navigate the software to perform tasks that include starting applications, creating folders, copying and moving files and also learn how to personalise the Windows Operating System.

Delegates will need to attend class in person due to the physical aspect.

Using Common Tools and Programs • Examining Application Software • Creating a Document in Word Pad • Working with the Calculator • Customising a Graphic with Paint tool

Module 5:

Customising the Windows 7 Desktop • Customising the Start Menu • Customising the task bar • Personalising the desktop • Setting a Screen Saver • Adding Gadgets

Browsing the Internet • An overview of Networks • Browsing Websites with Internet Explorer 8
