The Athlone & Cape Flats Chapter in partnership with the South African Employers Forum for Disabilities (SAE4D) invites you to attend a webinar to discuss the following objectives:
- The impact of non-visible disabilities in the context of COVID 19.
- To share strategies on supporting persons with disabilities in the workplace.
- To offer employers a broad perspective on the functions of the SAE4D.
Guest speaker profiles:
Speaker 1: Rustim Ariefdien
Rustim is a Disability Expert Extraordinaire. He has a Diploma in Disability Studies from the University of Cape Town. He assists businesses to "let the ability of disability enable their profitability". Rustim achieves this through the BBBEE elements of the score card, skills development, employment equity and socio-economic development. He ensures that businesses are able to maximize their points on the BBBEE scorecard and become compliant to legislative requirements as laid out in the Employment Equity and Skills Development Acts.
Speaker 2: Losh Pather
Losh Pather has more than 20 years of experience at a senior level within several sectors such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, Transport and Engineering which has provided her with in-depth knowledge, skills and competencies to deliver quality results. She had joined the SAE4D in 2010 as a member and then at an executive level in 2012.
Speaker 3: Zoleka Limakwe
Zoleka embraces a diverse academic background ranging from Health Science and Social Services, Education as well as IT. She holds a Health Science and Social Services Degree as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She has also obtained certificates for HIV Counselling, Lay counselling and Substance Abuse Counselling.
Zoleka has extensive experience in working in the mental health sector, bringing mental health awareness through school talks and corporate talks. She has worked with youth at risk, survivors of rape and facilitating programs that support the youth at risk, diversions program and life skills.
