The African Continental Free Trade Area is an ambitious trade pact to form the world's largest free trade area by connecting almost 1.3bn people across 54 African countries.
The agreement aims to create a single market for goods and services in order to deepen the economic integration of Africa.

Trudi works on Africa's trade and integration agenda, international trade, competition policy and industrial development.
She has a special interest in capacity building, focusing on technical and institutional capacity development in Africa.
Trudi serves on the WTO Chairs Advisory Committee and is a member of the Committee for Development Policy of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as well a Council member of the Chamber of Commerce.
