The Khayelitsha/Mitchells Plain Chapter invites you to a webinar on the Competition Commission and SMME's.
This session will assist you by guiding you in how to lodge a complaint for non-compliance with the Competition Law as well as how to intervene in a merger.
Presentation outline:
- Introduction to the Competition Act, No.89 of 1998 (as amended) โ a brief description of the Act and the purpose thereof;
- An overview of the complaint process โ including the necessary forms that need to be lodged with the Commission as well as instances that may warrant a complaint, particularly for small businesses;
- An overview of the merger intervention process โ including the necessary forms to be lodged with the Commission and instances that may warrant an intervention; and
- A short conclusion and session for questions.
Presenter profile:
Dharshini Govender is currently a first-year associate in the competition department at ENSafrica. She holds an LLB from the University of Cape Town and an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town and the University of Melbourne. She has completed her practical vocational training and is soon to be admitted as an Attorney of the High Court. Dharshini enjoys reading, volunteering at her local church, and spending time with friends and family".
