When COVID-19 became a reality in our town in March 2020, Visit Stellenbosch, as the official destination marketing organsisation, had two choices on how to react. We could so easily have been paralysed by the devastating effect lockdown had on our members, our global industry and our town.
However, we consciously decided to remain invigorated and focussed and to draw positive energy from the remarkable spirit of collaboration that Stellenbosch as a town and a community portrayed on so many fronts. We have used that as a platform to position ourselves not only towards surviving, but towards thriving.
Jeanneret Momberg
With 28 years of experience within Stellenbosch's wine and tourism sector, Jeanneret Momberg has a proven track record of decisive leadership, innovative thinking and the ability to build mutually rewarding relationships. Her skill in working efficiently and calmly in a demanding environment, combined with her problem-solving ability, has resulted in Jeanneret spearheading a successful business operation and forging successful, rewarding partnerships over the years.
A former board member of Stellenbosch Wine Routes, Stellenbosch 360 and Stellenbosch Ratepayers Association, Jeanneret for many years ran the sales and marketing for Middelvlei Wine Estate before being appointed CEO of Visit Stellenbosch. She holds a Hons degree in Industrial Psychology and is a devoted wine, food and travel aficionado.
