The Athlone and Cape Flats Chapter invites you to a webinar on Mental Health in the Workplace, in celebration of World Mental Health Day.

The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world. This talk provides inspiration for business organisations to positively support awareness of mental health and well-being in the workplace.

Guest Speakers Profile:

Zerina Hajwani

Zerina Hajwani is the i-act trained facilitator and co-director of Altitude Supported Employment (Pty)Ltd. She brings 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist who served in the public health sector at a mental health facility for 16 years; she worked as a mental health lecturer at UCT for 7 years; and consults with business organisations offering employee support, coaching, and training. Zerina holds a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Cape Town; a Graduate Certificate in Integral Coaching from the University of Cape Town (GSB); a Graduate Certificate in Employee Assistance Programmes from the University of Pretoria and a Certificate in Supported Employment from the University of Virginia (USA).

Professor Sean Kaliski ( MBBCh, Med; PhD FC Psych.)

Professor Kaliski is an emeritus professor at UCT. He held the position of Head of Forensic Mental Health Service, Western Cape 1990-2021. He does mental health disability and work assessments for insurance companies and is currently on contract with Valkenberg Hospital. Professor Kaliski is the editor and author of the Psycholegal Assessments in South Africa.
