Event Details
The Economic & Finance Portfolio Committee is honoured to host the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) within National Treasury.
The OCPO commenced with modernising and overseeing the South African public procurement system. The OCPO ensures that the procurement of goods, services and construction works are conducted in a fair, equitable, transparent, cost-effective and competitive manner. Public sector procurement must also adhere to the Constitution and all relevant legislation.
The OCPO is not directly involved in procurement, but manages procurement reforms, maintains the procurement system and oversees the way in which Government does business with the private sector.
The meeting welcomes business that is interested in public sector tenders, is a supplier of goods and services or requires information on public sector supply chain management. The Speakers also welcome any questions, queries or points of clarity from the business sector.
We welcome your input and engagement at the meeting.
