Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with Old Mutual presents:
BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE WESTERN CAPE
Please join us as one of the contributors to the discussion and use this initiative as an opportunity to share your insights and innovative ideas.
Agriculture in South Africa has a central role to play in building a strong economy and, in the process, reducing inequalities by increasing income and employment opportunities for the poor, while nurturing our natural resources. Agribusiness makes up about 8% of the Western Cape's economy. The largest contributor to this is primary agriculture, closely followed by processed food and beverages, which dominates the region's manufacturing activities.
This collaboration is envisaged to be the beginning of a continued dialogue with agribusinesses.
Topics to be covered:
- Sustainability of agriculture in the Western Cape
- Agricultural Industry – Economic Overview
- Agricultural Industry – Research Overview
- Public Private Sector partnerships
This engaging event will take place at L'Atrium at Grande Roche Hotel, Paarl on April 17th, from 18h00 - 20h30.
Note: Please be aware that the event is not structured as a business showcase.
