The Khayelitsha/Mitchells Plain Chapter, in partnership with False Bay College, invites you to a youth entrepreneurship event.
In the current economic environment, we must provide avenues of hope for our youth to sustain and rebuild our economy. This webinar will focus particularly on the achievements of youth in the Western Cape and the support from stakeholders.
Panelist:
Tshepo Manyana
Tshepo is the Regional Manager for Western Cape at National Youth Development Agency that helps young people to participate in the mainstream economy through Skills and Economic Development.
He holds various certificates including B-Tech Management from Tshwane University of Technology, Postgraduates Diploma in Business Management and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Unisa School of Business Leadership (SBL).
Colin Mkosi
Colin was the overall winner of the City of Cape Town Youth Start Competition. Cloudy Deliveries was founded in February 2020 and is a youth-run business. It is a delivery service that facilitates the exchange of goods and money between customers and vendors in the community, using bicycles.
Buhle Lindwa
Buhle is a digital content strategist and CEO of Lindwa Communications. She is a digital native and gained media industry experience from various digital marketing agencies and media publications before establishing her digital marketing agency in 2019. The agency is based in Cape Town and operates as a virtual office available to serve clients nationally and internationally. Many milestones have been reached since Lindwa Communication's conception, from tapping into the international markets to gaining a seat on the Centre For Entrepreneurship and British council cohort for business support and development - the agency's growth trajectory is stellar.
Ridaa Manual
Ridaa is the Founder of Green New World, which focuses on low-cost application forms of renewable energy.
He matriculated from Livingston High school with three distractions and he completed a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering with seven distinctions. Ridaa has seven years of engineering experience working in the mining, motor, air-conditioning, and Aeronautics industries. He is currently doing his Master in Energy.
Athenkosi Gexa
Athenkosi is 27 years old, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and founder of Truth Gexa Designs.
He completed his degree in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current studies at Northlink College in 2016, but due to lack of opportunities in the field, he learned how to sew clothing.
He started his own business in 2020, and manufactures
high-quality and stylish clothing. Athenkozi won an award for best outfits at the Fashion Awards and Dodigi Best Business Pitch in 2021.
